It's not frawdie in St Lucia

There are many reasons not to do the house chores on St Lucia. But I have yet to come across an excuse as hilarious as the frawdie experience.

St Lucian culture states that 'frawdie' comes from the French word froid, meaning cold. And one local magazine I have come across says that you shouldn't do the ironing when it's raining. It goes that the dampness against the heat 'will definitely leave one sniffing'. If you feel enough energy to do the ironing, however, you should never go into the refrigerator aferwards. The change in temperature is a 'definite way to attract the lurking virus'.

Perhaps that's why half the England squad left the WAGS at home last Friday night.
