Hammered

Could England ever produce bowling figures to what Andrew Hall, Shaun Pollock and perhaps Andre Nel concocted in one innings?

I've never witnessed such a flat and abject performance from one team. 28 for one after 10 overs. Yawn! Is this the cricket that was meant to win a World Cup? Michael Vaughan taking 20 balls to score his first run? Graeme Smith managed 20 in next to no time. In fact the Proteas skipper and de Villiers effectively showed Vaughan the door with their explosive opening partnership.

Or is this post just backtracking on the opening line about England's bowling?
