Mail podcast

Another Daily Mail podcast is up here. Watch out for future ones where I meet the West Indies first women's player to score a Test ton. She also happens to be a drug enforcement agent who patrols St Lucia's harbours with a mean-looking machine gun.

I did a similar piece for The Times cricket supplement, speaking to those World Cup players who also hold down proper day jobs. Read it here.

Podcasts; supplements

So what are you making of the World Cup warm-ups?

New Zealand losing to Bangladesh then posting a decent total against Sri Lanka; England romping home against Bermuda before a thrashing against the Aussies; the West Indies performing calypso collapso... and the minnows performing, well, admirably.

With the tournament proper just days away, the Nutley is preparing for its imminent departure to the Caribbean. I will be doing some (actually a fair few) podcasts for the Daily Mail over the coming weeks do get in there and start subscribing to get a flavour of island life throughout the tournament.

And Patrick Kidd over at Line and Length has been busy this week putting together a World Cup guide for The Times, which is out on Tuesday.

Two shameless bits of advertising, but well worth it!

Views from the top

I came across surely one of the best views of a sporting ground this week. Following on from the Adelaide urinal post, the below photo is taken from the Men's on the 35th floor of the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne, overlooking the mighty MCG. For those of you at work for the last time, Happy Christmas! For more photos, go to Nutley's flickr page or click on the rightYou can also read Mike Dickson's assessment of the G in his Daily Mail blog. And it appears there could be an even better loo view... from inside the ground.
